How To Remove Official Artist Badge From Youtube?
In order for them to remove Official Artist Badge from youtube, they will need to make a request via their label/partner or channel owner email.
Once you upgrade to an Official Artist Channel and your subscribers are merged we do not recommend opting out of the channel type. Not only is it a poor experience for subscribers, there are several risks associated with opting out:
- You will lose all of the subscribers that were merged into your channel through OAC. You may have fewer subscribers than before you joined OAC.
- You may see a drop in watch time when your subscribers will be unmerged.
- Fan confusion from being subscribed to multiple artist channels again.
- Your channel will lose all the features associated with the Official Artist channel – not just the shelves. This includes the music note, prominence in search results, Press Kit, and Ticketing.
For example, we’ve launched the capability to edit the playlist on the ‘Music Videos’ shelf of an OAC in response to artist feedback that they wanted more editorial control of their channels.
